The quote reads, "During this time of isolation, we need connection now more than ever".

While most of North America is locked down, hiding out from the coronavirus, fans of Britney Spears are wondering if the pop star is embracing socialism while she's self-isolating.

"Comrade Britney knows: together we can build a better world, because capitalism is Toxic", the group wrote, playing off the name of her 2003 song "Toxic".

See the reactions from socialists and Britney stans alike below.

The post continued, "We will feed each other, re-distribute wealth, strike". Call your loved ones, write virtual letters. "We will learn to kiss and hold each other through the waves of the web". Communication moves beyond walls.

Spears captioned the graphic: "Communion moves beyond walls" and added three red rose emojis, a symbol associated with the socialist cause online.

While the singer can't actually redistribute her own wealth as she's currently under conservatorship by her parents, she's leading the way for celebrities to use their platforms to help those most in need right now, that doesn't include, erm.clapping on a balcony.

"TBH, Full-Marxist Britney Spears is the kind of surreal dystopian future factoid I can get behind", tweeted one user. She has been under her father's conservatorship since February 2008, when she was committed to a psychiatric ward after experiencing a public breakdown. Legal commentators have said it is unusual for an apparently high-functioning adult to remain under such an arrangement. Last week, Spears shared a video on her Instagram encouraging fans to reach out if they needed assistance, saying "Whether it's food or getting your child diapers of whatever it is, DM me and I will help you out".
