Trump isn't pleased a South Korean film won best-picture Oscar

The distributor of & # 39 Parasite & # 39 Trump responds wildly to criticizing his Oscar win & # 39 Can't read & # 39

President Donald Trump mocked the Academy Awards for giving its best picture Oscar to Parasite, expressing bewilderment to a rally crowd in Colorado that a foreign language movie could get the top award.

It didn't take long for the studio behind the flick to fire back on social media.

Neon Studios, the studio that distributed Parasite in the USA, issued an epic response to the comments.

Trump said he would rather return to films like Gone with the Wind or Sunset Boulevard. Seriously, he went there. We've got enough problems with South Korea, with trade. Trump asked a rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Then Trump pretended to be an Oscar presenter.

Though Trump is famously a voracious watcher of television, he is not known to be as ardent - or at least as consistent - a cinephile. "A wise guy. He is a little wise guy". That was the best picture victor in 1940, 80 years ago. It also won three other Oscars - best director and original screenplay for Bong Joon Ho and best global feature film.

Pitt said in accepting the award that he got more time to speak, 45 seconds, than former national security adviser John Bolton received at Trump's Senate impeachment trial. In Hollywood, Pitt told the audience at the Oscars "They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week". "I'm thinking maybe Quentin (Tarantino) does a movie about it and in the end the adults do the right thing". Can we get Gone With the Wind back, please?

The film's distribution company, NEON, responded with a tweet that read, "Understandable, he can't read".

Twitter users were quick to take notice of him praising the 1939 film that was sympathetic to the Confederacy and its fight to keep slavery. Patriarchy, slavery, celebrating the Old South. Yikes. When women and slaves knew their place.
