The launch of the Galaxy Z Flip marks a new chapter in the company's foldable device portfolio, and we don't say this just because it's a brand new device, but because the Galaxy Z Flip has established a new naming convention for Samsung's foldable devices.
"Technologically, we are capable of designing phones that fold even more times, but what's more important than the folding technology itself is the kind of value to be offered for consumers", Roh was quoted as saying by The Korea Herald. The "freestop" hinge design allows the phone to stay open at nearly any angle, which it suggests is useful when, for example, you're propping it up in an "L" shape for Google Duo video calling.
Samsung's ultra-thin, yet sturdy, glass is created to last for up to 200,000 folds per phone and is called the "Infinity Flex Display".

Of course, considering the problems that plagued the Fold, and led to its release being delayed multiple times, a lot of attention is on the Z Flip's hinge.
Announced at an event in San Francisco on February 11, the Z Flip is going on sale on Valentine's Day at a price of US$1,380. There's also a small, 1.1-inch OLED display on the phone's cover that will display notifications when it is folded and also be used as a viewfinder in camera mode. Probably not as the camera specs are a bit sparse but it is a pretty cool-looking device so if you only need one rear camera and a selfie camera, you might actually like it.
Samsung also showed off its new Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra flagship devices, all of which feature 5G connectivity, huge batteries, giant bezel-free displays, and impressive camera technology. Alternatively, the two halves can perform different functions with the same app providing it's compatible.

You can use the phone's three-stop hinge, which enables you to split the screen into two separate displays when it's propped open. Talking about the Galaxy S20 + 5G, it features a slightly larger 6.7-inch WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED with the same 20:9 aspect ratio.
