Hope Hicks is returning to the White House

Hicks, who was one of Trump's original 2016 campaign staffers and moved with him to Washington after he won, had served as White House communications director before she left in 2018.

Hope Hicks is boomeranging back to the White House after leaving almost two years ago.

Hicks was the former White House communications director, serving during the first year of the Trump administration.

"There is no one more devoted to implementing President Trump's agenda than Hope Hicks", Kushner said in a statement to The Times.

Hicks departed the White House after she reportedly told investigators that working for Trump "occasionally required her to tell white lies" during her eight-hour testimony before the the House Intelligence Committee.

Ex-White House press secretary Sarah Sanders also heralded her return in a Twitter post: "There is no one more loyal, talented or fun than Hope".

Since her departure, Hicks appeared before the House Judiciary committee.

Hicks will also reportedly "work on projects that Mr. Kushner oversees, including the re-election campaign", but "will not rejoin the communications office".

"Not only is she brilliant she is an incredible friend and will be a tremendous asset to the President and his team".

When asked if she was present when Trump and Cohen discussed Stormy Daniels, Hicks repeatedly said she was not.

Klein added that Fox Corporation will announce a new chief communications officer in the near future, but did not specify a time frame.
