Fallen trees close Cannock Chase bike trails amid Storm Dennis warnings

Storm Alert Dennis is gonna be a menace this weekend for Kildare

A separate yellow warning for wind for the whole of Wales runs from 10:00 GMT on Saturday until just before midnight on Sunday.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure park in Lenwade will close out of concerns "for the safety of visitors and crew" at the weekend (February 15-16) as the storm is set to bring gusts of 60mph-70mph and heavy rain.

Last weekend, Storm Ciara brought gusts of more than 90mph in places.

The severe weather warning says: "Strong winds in association with Storm Dennis are expected on Saturday and Sunday across many parts of England and Wales". The strong winds will be accompanied by heavy rain at times, leading to particularly poor driving conditions.

"Some will be heavy and squally giving local hail and thunder, with this type of weather spreading to Scotland and much of North West England through the afternoon".

"It then remains windy and unsettled into next week".

Firefighters at Boots in Norwich where a section of the roof had come off in Storm Ciara.

Forestry England hopes the routes will be reopened within days, but is also waiting to see how Storm Dennis affects the trails this weekend.

The UK Met Office already has Yellow level Weather Warnings in place for Rain and Wind for Storm Dennis on Saturday and Sunday.

Paul Gundersen, chief meteorologist at the Met Office, also warned "disruption is still likely".
