Three children and a man have died and a woman is fighting for life following a auto fire in Brisbane.
Mr Baxter's estranged wife, 31-year-old Hannah Baxter, was rescued from the burning vehicle by a passerby and rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition with significant burns.
It's believed Rowan Baxter doused the vehicle in petrol and set it alight.
Women's rights activist Sherele Moody took to Facebook on Wednesday afternoon and shared an image of the family, which shows Rowan and Hannah smiling, with Trey in his father's arms, while the couple's daughters stand at their feet wearing identical blue floral dresses. (Facebook) Baxter is belived to have doused the auto in petrol and set it alight.
Australian media report that he was found close to the auto with a self-inflicted stab wound.
Rowan Baxter, 42, and his three children died at the scene in Raven Street, Camp Hill on Wednesday morning.
According to the website of a gym Mr Baxter ran with his wife at Capalaba, he had more than 20 years experience in the sport and fitness industry.
Neighbour Murray Campbell said he heard a number of loud bangs.
"The young lady was rolling on the footpath on flames".
"It sounded very much like a gas cylinder explosion", he told AAP.
"I was out the back and came running down the side and ... the rest is history", he said.
He said he called triple zero, and did not see anyone run from the vehicle.

But police say it is too early to be sure how the fire started.
"We have another deceased male, who was known to the children".
"How the fire actually occurred has not been ascertained at the moment, so for us to call it a murder-suicide or a tragic accident, it's inappropriate at this stage", he said.
He said there were "other areas of interest" and anticipated that other crime scenes would be declared.
Police at the scene of the incident at Camp Hill. "He was treated for some minor burns, they're not life threatening".
"It was just disgusting, multiple explosions, very loud", he said.
"I have just been informed by the police commissioner that three people have died including children in a horrific incident at Camp Hill this morning".
Emergency services were called to the scene on Wednesday morning after reports a vehicle was set alight.
Police Minister Mark Ryan said investigations into the "tragic set of events" were ongoing.
