The Official Trailer For Hillary Clinton’s Documentary On Hulu Dropped

Hillary Clinton participates in the Hulu

It was a rested and relaxed Hillary Clinton who took the stage on the Television Critics Association Winter 2020 press tour and was ready to look into her own backstory to promote the four-part Hulu documentary series exploring her life.

In "Hillary", supervisor Nanette Burstein took a seat with Clinton for 35 hrs as well as chosen with each other greater than 1,700 hrs of behind the curtain video footage for an intimate picture of the single Democratic governmental prospect.

Following this powerful intro, we take a step back and see footage of Clinton as a young girl and hear about her road to law school, how she and Bill Clinton met, how she "violated" the expectations of a First Lady.

That much was plain to see when the former Secretary of State appeared alongside the series' director on Friday morning, as part of Hulu's day of presentations at the Television Critic Association's Winter Press Tour, now underway in Pasadena, California.

Voters must act thoughtfully "because Lord knows what will happen if we don't retire the current incumbent and his henchmen, as (House Speaker) Nancy Pelosi so well described them", the former first lady said. "Thanks to extensive interviews with Secretary Clinton, her family, friends, staff, and politicos from both sides of the aisle, this is one of the most compelling political documentaries in history".

"I hope voters, citizens, activists, everyone who knows that you have a share - that's everyone - in the kind of future that we should build together, speak out and use every platform you say have". Burstein, however, had a more ambitious goal and wanted to craft a "bigger story" that is "part of the arc of women's history", per Deadline. And more than anything, I wanted people to understand that this is a historical figure. "One of them was the realization that I was often wrongly characterized and perceived wrongly from my point of view, and I have a lot of responsibility for it". The second was, "we've got to somehow understand that you can't make good decisions in a democracy".

That said, Clinton firmly states that she doesn't subscribe to the double standard that applies to women with regard to the so-called "likability" factor.

"I feel the most significant thing is we're...at a true battle with a kind of politics that's remarkably negative, exclusive, mean-spirited, and its likely to be up to each voter, not just individuals who vote in Democratic primaries to realize this is no ordinary time", she explained. "And not only the popular votebut the electoral college also". Whatever the combination of reasons would be, I certainly have not done well enough to break through the perceptions that were there, "she said". "You can decide not to vaccinate your kids but you will find facts". You can choose not to believe in climate change.

Hillary premieres Friday, March 6th on Hulu.
