Stephen Amell Reacts To Oliver Queen’s Fate In Crisis on Infinite Earths

Arrow-

The Arrowverse's five-part, game-changing "Disaster" crossover kicked off final month in episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman and The Flash, earlier than concluding Tuesday on Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. (They would later learn that the anti-monitor had not stopped.) But in doing so, Oliver sacrificed himself. So, it does seem like the Arrowverse has well and truly killed off Oliver Queen. "I called Eric Wallace who is the showrunner of Flash, and he called up Grant Gustin - because the one thing that was our only concern was the thought we didn't want to do it unless Grant was 100 percent on-board with it", recalled the EP.

"We were series wrapped on Arrow, and we were wrapped on the whole crossover", executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Variety.

The next episode of the series will be a backdoor pilot for a possible spinoff series that will focus on Mia Queen, played by Katherine McNamara, Laurel Lance, played by Katie Cassidy, and Dinah Drake, played by Juliana Harkavy. So glad we could make this happen and keep it a secret until today. However, it's hard not to expect one final loophole or catch, considering all the evidence that this death isn't the end of Oliver's story.

We know that Rickards returns as Felicity for the final episode, and the final of season 7 showed that The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) presumably brought the 2040 version of her to Oliver - but also to a place where she could not return.

Many fans interpreted that as Felicity choosing to join Oliver in the afterlife - or whatever the multiverse equivalent of it is.

"Yes, he is really dead this time", she confirmed to the outlet. She then teased that the episode "Fadeout" honors the entire series and completes different storylines for characters from all our seasons, in principle - past and present - in a hopefully very satisfying way. But that didn't stop Amell from sharing an early eulogy for his character.
