OnePlus 8 Pro To Feature a 120Hz Fluid Display

A OnePlus foldable phone is still a long way off, according to its CEO

CEO Pete Lau has now teased that the 120Hz Fluid Display will come with motion interpolation as well.

OnePlus's 120Hz Fluid Display will be a Samsung-sourced 2K AMOLED screen that will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, over 1000 nits of peak brightness, and industry-leading 240Hz touch sampling rate for a more responsive touch experience. In his new tweet, Lau says that the company has integrated a custom MEMC chip that can push an ordinary 30fps video up to 120fps, allowing you to see a much smoother footage.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus announces the launch of its new display with a blazing 120Hz refresh rate, along with multiple new technologies. It is said that the screen comes with a new ambient light sensor and offers a QHD + resolution.

What this indicates is that an individual can enjoy a 30 fps or 60 fps video clip as well as a tailor-made "MEMC " contribute the 8 Pro will certainly have the ability to develop added frameworks to replicate a greater framework price. "That's because, in looking into the application of what's now available for foldable screen technology, we haven't found that the significant advantage or value that's brought that isn't outweighed by the shortcomings or the disadvantages of the current state of the technology", said Lau.

A few days ago, Lau even shared A comparative video on how the 120Hz fluid screen compares with the 60Hz screen. As mentioned, the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to integrate this new 120Hz Fluid display. Other specification includes Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and run the latest version of Oxygen OS.

We still dont have a firm timeframe for the announcement of the OnePlus 8 series, but given the teasers are coming this early in the year, it might be sooner than May.
