Joe Burrow adds twist to Odell Beckham cash-gate drama

Odell Beckham Jr. probably broke rules by handing cash to LSU players but it was awesome

Of course, there were several LSU officials standing all around Beckham and players on the field while the team celebrated.

During the postgame celebration, National Football League receiver and LSU alum Odel Beckham Jr. was seen on video giving out $100 bills to receivers Justin Jefferson and Jontre Kirklin right in front of photographers and media members.

"It was a joke", LSU associate athletic director Robert Munson first told reporters Tuesday.

The former LSU receiver was spotted passing out hundred-dollar bills to LSU wideouts Justin Jefferson and Jontre Kirklin on the field after the game.

However, now LSU is investigating the incident whether Beckham's bills were actually fake or not (some type of Monopoly money that he carries around). While the Heisman Trophy victor was not one of the players shown on video, Burrow says he did get some money from Beckham.

Either way, it was fun to see Beckham celebrate the win with LSU - especially since he never won a championship while at LSU.

According to a report from Al.com, a police officer at the Superdome threatened to arrest LSU players for smoking cigars in the locker room.
