Gilgeous-Alexander recorded the first triple double of his National Basketball Association career, totaling 20 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in the win.

Danilo Gallinari led OKC in scoring with 30 points and made three 3-pointers. His 20 rebounds versus the Timberwolves were a career high while his 10 assists matched a personal best set during his rookie campaign. With that, he is also the youngest player in National Basketball Association history to record that same stat line in a single game and passed Shaquille O'Neal as the youngest player with a 20-rebound triple-double in National Basketball Association history.

"Coach had challenged me before the game to fill up the stat sheet more and do more things", Gilgeous-Alexander said.

The Thunder took the lead in the second quarter, leading by three at halftime, then took control of the game in the third quarter, leading by as many as 18 points and never letting the T-Wolves make a serious run the rest of the game. Gallinari was 11 of 12 from the free-throw line as Oklahoma City made 23 of 26 foul shots.

It was their eighth win in the last 10 games. "I was happy with some of the boys".

Nerlens Noel (Out - Ankle): Noel is listed as OUT for Saturday's (Jan 11) game against the Lakers. Gallinari's 30 points came on 8-for-12 shooting. It was the first time in his career he did not record a point or assist in a half in which he played 10 or more minutes. He also fought an illness on Monday.

Jake Layman (Out - Toe): Layman's official timetable to return from injury hasn't been announced.

The Thunder are 13-7 in home games. Oklahoma City won the first meeting between the 98-97 teams in OT on December 29.

Timberwolves: Host Indiana on Wednesday in the first meeting of the teams this season.
