Bielema joined the Patriots coaching staff in 2019.

According to Rapoport, the Giants are still finalizing details and his eventual role.

Bielema, 50, will join former Patriots wide receivers coach Joe Judge, who was named Giants head coach earlier this month. As Joe Judge builds his staff, he's adding more experience.

The New England Patriots saw their second coaching departure of the offseason on Tuesday, with the New York Giants luring away defensive line coach Bret Bielema, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Henderson was the defensive passing game coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons over the past four seasons.

Bielema was the defensive line coach for the New England Patriots last season. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Arkansas from 2013 to 2017 and Wisconsin from 2006 to 2012.

AL.com can confirm that Bielema has been hired by the New York Giants, as first reported by The Athletic and NFL Network.

That now reportedly includes hiring former Arkansas and Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema for an unknown spot on his staff. He is likely to help with continuity, even if he is unlikely to serve as the next positional coach. He then went onto play with the Bills, Eagles, a second stint with New England, and the Jets before retiring after the 1998 season.
