Now, you're about to hear even more from the Grammy victor with her next gig: singing and writing the theme song for James Bond's next mission in No Time to Die, the final outing for Daniel Craig as 007.

"The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with risky new technology".

"We are excited to announce that Billie and FINNEAS have written an incredibly powerful and moving song for "No Time To Die", which has been impeccably crafted to work within the emotional story of the film", say Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

The account also tweeted the following quote from Ocean Eyes singer Eilish: "It feels insane to be a part of this in every way".

If true, the choice of Eilish would be a dramatic change of direction for the legendary franchise's long history of theme-song performers, which have progressed from Shirley Bassey to Paul McCartney and Duran Duran over the decades. "To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour". Sam Smith, who released Writing's On The Wall for the last Bond film Spectre, was 23 years old at the time.

Eilish confirmed on social media Tuesday that she has written and will perform the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film. As is her norm, the singer wrote the song with her older brother Finneas. "I'm still in shock".

Billie Eilish is the latest Bond girl - of sorts!
