Billie Eilish announced to sing new Bond theme

Hans Zimmer

When Fallon played a clip of the old theme song, then "Bad Guy", remarking how similar they are, Gomez said, "I love Billie".

The 18-year-old multi-platinum selling and Grammy-nominated Billie Eilish has written the title song with her elder brother; fellow multi Grammy-Award nominated Finneas.

"MI6 understands that American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish will be performing the title song to the 25th James Bond film No Time To Die". She wrote the song with her brother Finneas; the two created her entire debut album together.

"It feels insane to be a part of this in every way", Eilish said in a press release.

We're only a couple of months out from No Time To Die marking the swan song of Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond.

With her new gig, Eilish joins a long line of Bond performers that includes Adele ("Skyfall"), Paul McCartney and Wings ("Live and Let Die"), Duran Duran ("A View to a Kill"), Gladys Knight ("Licence to Kill"), Madonna ("Die Another Day") and Tina Turner ("GoldenEye"). Unconfirmed reports emerged this morning, citing Bond blog MI6 headquarters, linking Eilish, and the singer responded by cryptically posting on her Instagram story a gallery of female Bond actresses, including Eva Green, Halle Berry and Lea Seydoux; the latter will reprise her role in No Time To Die.

Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond sees 007 retire from active service, only to be pulled back in when a friend in the Central Intelligence Agency asks for his help to track down a mysterious villain, played by Rami Malek. Now she has confirmed it with a post saying: "No Time To Die" JAMES BOND.

No Time to Die will release in United Kingdom cinemas on April 2 and in the USA on April 8.
