Vikings RB Dalvin Cook suffers right shoulder injury vs. Seahawks

The Seahawks know they can't look ahead to the postseason just yet however, not with the 49ers also at 10-2 (Seattle is now in first place having beaten the 49ers), and a with a tough finishing schedule coming up. Considering they received the ball to start the second-half, things were looking up for the purple in one of the most inhospitable environments in the NFL. It marked only the fourth time since Zimmer's arrival that an opponent has rushed for 200 yards against the Vikings. RB Rashaad Penny was effective as both a runner and receiver out of the backfield, with 15 carries for 74 yards and one touchdown plus four catches for 33 yards and one touchdown.

While some sites have said that Harrison Smith also struggled, he seemed fine, although he was injured in the fourth quarter of the Broncos game. The Bears will then visit the Vikings in the regular-season finale. However, the Vikings seemingly went away from everything that has made them successful on offense thus far. The former Super Bowl champ, who once came a few yards away from being a two-time champ, threw two TDs against the Vikings and was in complete control for most of the night.

Oh, and the Seahawks, winners of five straight, haven't lost a game on the road this season, too, which is pretty bonkers and should have them feeling confident if they have to pack their bags and jump on a flight for a game in the postseason.

While there's value in doing things that the other team might not expect, at some point, you're going to have to just do what you do well better than the other team.

Cook, who called his exit "precautionary", said he expected to be ready by Sunday after the Vikings' six-day turnaround to face the Detroit Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Los Angeles went into Week 13 two games back of Minnesota and handled its business by beating the Cardinals 34-7, moving to 7-5 on the year. After a late field goal by the Seahawks, the Vikings had a chance for a hail mary or two. It would be a surprise if he returned to the game.

Minnesota fell to 8-4 on the season with the loss. But the reality is that they need to win out to ensure a playoff spot.

The Green Bay Packers have separated from the Minnesota Vikings in a big week atop the NFC North.
