Roger Federer gets own Swiss coin…and you can buy it

Roger Federer first living man on Swiss franc

Swissmint confirmed that 55,000 of the cash, that contains Federer delivering a backhand, will seemingly be produced and will seemingly be on hand for pre-present from Tuesday until December 19.

Federer also spoke about the blessing of being a famous tennis player: "Playing on the biggest stadiums around the world, achieving more than my dreams has been great". It is also believed that in May 2020, Swissmint has planned to issue a Federer 50-franc gold coin featuring a different design. "That is reason enough for Swissmint to honor Roger Federer with a 20-franc silver coin". The coins will be issued on January 23, 2020.

Recently a silver coin will be released with a picture of tennis veteran Roger Federer.

"Thank you Switzerland, and Swissmint for this incredible honour and privilege", he said.

The mint, which is selling the coins for 30 francs each, is making 60,000 but could raise that to 100,000 if necessary. "He has a unique way of embodying likeability, down-to-earthiness, success, and eloquence".

Swissmint had earlier introduced commemorative coins celebrating Swiss historical events, people and organizations.

In 2019, commemorative coins were dedicated to the Apollo 11 moon landing and the centenary of the Circus Knie. His glorious CV also includes his record 310 weeks at No. 1 in the ATP Rankings.

Federer has pocketed 103 tour-level titles, including 20 Grand Slam crowns and 28 ATP Masters 1000s. In 2012, the German city of Halle, named a street after the 10-time champion here.

There is no other Swiss person in the world as well-known as Roger Federer.
