Google Photos adds in-built conversation feature

Now you can transfer your Facebook

Meanwhile, Google is also adding yet another feature to the app that - granted, it might make some of you roll your eyes, since it's related to messaging (and Google's mobile messaging strategy has kind of been all over the place). Update your Google Photos app to give it a try for yourself.

Google Photos is getting a built-in chat functionality where users can share pictures from their library with others.

Google is revamping the experience for sharing photos in Google Photos.

As Google Photos is a major touching point for people who use its free back-up service, there's some reasonable expectation for those same users to stay on the app to share their memories with family, friends, and whoever they'd like.

Google just made it easier to share within Google Photos while simultaneously launching a new messaging service. The new feature is rolling out over the next week on Android, iOS, and web.

The feature is being rolled out globally already, so if you can't find the option to start a private chat yet, it won't be long before you'll be able to do so. Previous bids, the consumer version of Google+ and the standard Hangouts system, known as "Classic Hangouts", were killed off.

As Larry Page and Sergey Brin depart from their roles as CEO and president, respectively.

Google said the updates are created to make the website creation platform a more robust tool for companies. Users can create and add people to new groups as well.

Google Cloud Platform offers hundreds of cloud-based features and tools, but before you can access a single one, you have to create a project.
