Cavs Willing To Listen To Trade Offers For Kevin Love

Cavaliers star Kevin Love out with sickness

Cavs forward Kevin Love may be on the move soon.

As NBA trade possibilities expand beginning December 15, the Cleveland Cavaliers are expressing a willingness to listen to offers for All-Star forward Kevin Love, league sources told ESPN. He has averaged 18.2 factors and 11.2 rebounds throughout 12 National Basketball Association seasons, which included the primary six years with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the previous six years with Cleveland.

The question is, which teams want to commit to Love for the next four seasons, especially considering he will be on the downside of his career and owed an average salary of roughly $30 million per season? It's somewhat unlikely Love would be around for their next real contender if he stays, and even more unlikely that he will be a player worth $30 million in cap space to them by then.

Several teams with championship aspirations would certainly place high value on Love.

Despite the past two seasons being absolutely disastrous for the Cavaliers in the post-LeBron era, Love hasn't shown much of an inclination to leave Cleveland. "I always have", Love said in October.

Woj mentioned on NBA Countdown that he thinks that Portland and Denver are also good candidates for landing Love, but pointed out that many teams might be interested. Now it appears Love's time on the Cavs is closing, with the organization looking to deal the UCLA product as the young team rebuild.
