Central Pennsylvania could get around a quarter of an inch of snow on Monday, while areas in northwest Pennsylvania could see around 2 inches. This is the case for Northern Herkimer County, areas in the Adirondacks, and along Lake Ontario. Snow is expected to continue through the day but accumulations won't be as heavy. Areas to be most impacted will be those under the winter storm warning, but especially Berrien and western Cass Counties in MI. This is the case for areas especially South of the Mohawk Valley.
Our first major winter storm of the season begins tonight and lasts thru the early afternoon hours of Tuesday. Along with accumulating snowfall, winds are expected to increase to 20 to 30-mph from 3 a.m. through 9 a.m. Monday morning, resulting in blowing snow and poor travel conditions. The affected areas focus on south central and southwest MI.
