Tagovailoa (ankle) starts for No. 2 Alabama vs. No. 1 LSU

Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford left dives for a first down against Michigan State's Shakur Brown during the first quarter of an NCAA college football game Saturday Oct. 26 2019 in East Lansing Mich

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (13) warms up before an NCAA football game against LSU, Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Burrow completed 31 of 39 passes and ran for 64 yards.

Burrow was impressive as a passer, displaying tremendous patience in the pocket and accuracy at all levels of the field throughout the game.

To no huge surprise, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa didn't look like he was at 100 percent on Saturday. Both were inside the 10-yard line. "You guy have seen the things he can do with the ball when he gets it in his hands". The game will be broadcast on ABC.

Tagovailoa, 20 days removed from ankle surgery, was 21 of 40 for 418 yards and four touchdowns with an interception and a fumble.

Two plays later, Alabama was called for offsides and LSU ultimately settled for a field goal.

Alabama fought back in the second half, but Edwards-Helaire scored two crucial fourth-quarter touchdowns to keep the Tigers ahead. However, they missed the extra point, keeping Minnesota's 24-19 lead.

Jerry Jeudy dropped a potential touchdown catch in the third quarter and Tagovailoa later sailed a crossing route to Waddle.

Burrow was tremendous throughout the first half, placing the ball wherever he wanted no matter how much pressure Alabama put in his face. He sat out against Arkansas the next week and then Alabama was off, giving him an extra week to recover for the biggest game of the season.

Saturday is why Najee Harris was the No. 2 overall recruit in the 2017 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Given the stakes, the stage and the production, this was arguably the best game Najee Harris has had in an Alabama uniform. The duo's 13-yard hookup gave LSU a 33-13 lead at halftime, the largest deficit a Nick Saban-coached Crimson Tide team had faced after 30 minutes.

In the history of the CFP rankings, no team has jumped higher than six spots into the top 10, but No. 17 Minnesota has a chance to change that after its win over No. 4 Penn State. While losing to LSU is about as good of a loss as a team can have, it's not easily countered with just one victory over a ranked foe.
