QB Hoyer to make first start with Colts; Brissett ruled out

Colts vs Dolphins 3 Keys for the offense in Week 10

The Indianapolis Colts have ruled out starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett for Sunday's game against Miami. On Saturday, the team announced that Jacoby Brissett has been downgraded from questionable to out for Sunday's tilt. Rather than risk injury against a team with one win, they are holding out hope that he will be available for a stretch of three divisional games. The veteran has completed 64.8% of his passes for 1,649 yards with 14 touchdowns and just three interceptions. If Wilson is limited or can't play Sunday against the Dolphins, then those in line to get added snaps at the cornerback position opposite starter Kenny Moore II include rookies Rock Ya-Sin, Marvell Tell III and Shakial Taylor; the team also has cornerback Deante Burton on its practice squad if needed.

Even so, the Colts have built a adjust to Brissett's standing for this weekend. It is very clear that he could cope with the setting up goal if essential.

Filling in for Brissett will be backup Brian Hoyer.

QB Jacoby Brissett has been downgraded to OUT.

CB Pierre Desir has been downgraded to DOUBTFUL.

In order to make room for Kelly on the 53-man roster, the Colts waived wide receiver Deon Cain and defensive tackle Kyle Peko.

This isn't a surprising development when you consider that Indianapolis elevated Chad Kelly from the practice squad today. Colts also waived large receiver Deon Cain and defensive deal with Kyle Peko.

It'll be interesting to see how Hoyer performs in his first start since 2017.

A gain on Sunday would place catapult the Colts to 1st put in the AFC South.
