Nationals Catcher Kurt Suzuki Wears a MAGA Hat For White House Dinner

Donald Trump's director of legislative affairs

"They just fell in love with Nats baseball", Trump said after the Marine Corps Band played a rendition of the team's theme song, the children's ditty "Baby Shark".

The World Series-winning Washington Nationals visited the White House Monday - and the team's catcher got a Janet Jackson like moment from President Trump.

The president received the champions in a good way, although during his visit to Nationals Park to enjoy Game 5 of the series, he was booed by much of the fans that even asked to be locked up.

In introducing Suzuki, President Trump said, "In the bottom of the ninth you scored seven runs".

Plenty of groups have declined to get White House visits or have not been invited, together with the NBA's Golden Utter Warriors, the NFL Mammoth Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and the U.S. girls's World Cup-winning team.

"There's a lot of things, policies that I disagree with, but it has more to do with the divisive rhetoric and widening the divide in this country", Mr. Doolittle said of his decision to shun the event, which became a regular tradition only much more recently, in the 1980s during the presidency of Ronald Reagan.

"On the terminate of the day, as necessary as I wanted to be there with my teammates and part that have with my teammates, I'm able to no longer carry out it", Doolittle acknowledged.

Third baseman Anthony Rendon and reliever Sean Doolittle were among the Nationals players who opted not to attend. "I just can't do it".

Suzuki put a MAGA (for Make America Great Again) cap on his head when invited to speak.

Trump congratulated the Nationals on becoming the first Predominant League Baseball team in Washington to utilize the World Sequence in nearly 100 years.

"Thought this season the Nationals have captured the hearts of baseball fans across the region and across the country. I didn't know that was going to happen", said the president.

The Washington Nationals baseball team won the World Series after a hot match against the Houston Astros ended 6-2, in Game 7 in Houston, becoming the the first Washington team to win the title since 1924.

"This is an incredible honor", Zimmerman said.
