Beluga whale filmed playing 'fetch' with Rugby World Cup ball

The majestic creature swam through, caught the ball and gave it to the man.

A delightful video has been shared online that features a man playing Fetch with a Beluga whale.

South Africa won their third Rugby World Cup title last week, after stunning England 32-12 in the final at Yokohama Stadium in Japan. Within seconds, a swift beluga whale is seen scooping the ball in its mouth and bringing it back to the man on the boat.

New Zealand Herald reports that the video was taken by crew members aboard the Gemini Craft, which is now at sea in the Arctic Pole. Twitter users have showered the video with love in the form of comments full of amazement and awe.

It seems like Bok fever has hit us all - including an adorable Beluga Whale.

The video, while heartwarming, also means you now have one more excuse to take that trip to Antarctica you've been mulling over.

In fact, ten years ago, a captive beluga whale once rescued a distressed participant of a free diving competition by pushing her to the surface.
