Giggs insists Liverpool and Man City just not that good!

Trent Alexander-Arnold Raheem Sterling

"For me he's the best manager in the world and we have the chance to win against his team which is very hard but possible".

A "comprehensive" police operation is in place to prevent any violence or untoward incidents when Manchester City travel to Liverpool for Sunday's top-of-the-table Premier League clash, Merseyside Police said on Friday.

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp said it was everyone's responsibility to ensure that it does not happen again.

The Reds toppled Manchester City in a penalty shootout in last season's final, while we were eliminated at the fourth round stage by Arsenal. He's strong the day after the game, he could play another game. You'd think they're not going to lose many games but the season is long.

"But it's a big one, we know that". It is already a very important game and you can not make it more important.

For club and country, Sterling has already scored 18 goals in 20 appearances, including his first against Liverpool as City won the Community Shield in August. "When you speak to a player you can feel it, this year, last year, even three years ago, you can see in the eyes of a player, I am not sure if honour is the right word, that it is good that we speak to them".

"You have to create, your positioning must be almost ideal, protection must be flawless, (you should have) different ideas".

City claimed the title last season, finishing a point clear of Liverpool despite Jurgen Klopp's men losing just one game, a loss that came against the eventual champions.

A legends charity match staged at the Aviva Stadium in April this year raised 748,000 euros for the Sean Cox Rehabilitation Trust.

Liverpool can establish a nine-point lead over Manchester City on Sunday but Klopp said the title race is too early to call regardless of the outcome. "The corresponding last fixture ran smoothly and we are working to ensure this game can be enjoyed safely by all as well as minimising any disruption to local residents and roads".

The news has given Klopp a boost ahead of the game.

"I am really looking forward to it".

"We have never had a similar situation since, which is positive, and it's an important part of coming to Anfield but you can't overstep the line". I hope we can organise for me to see him before the game for a couple of minutes - I really want to.
