Disney+ Is Rebooting The Mighty Ducks

The Adventures of the Gummi Bears

The MCU has planned its next phases around limited series for the streaming service. The new content getting released include the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian", a live-action remake of "The Lady and the Tramp", "Forky Asks A Question", the Christmas comedy "Noelle", "High School Musical: The Series", and "The World According to Jeff Goldblum".

There are a bunch of nostalgia-soaked shows and movies coming when Disney+ launches next week. They will also have a massive back catalog from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic's histories.

In January 2018, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the reboot was in its early stages at ABC Signature Studios. The project was announced past year from ABC Signature Studios. The executive producers will be Steven Brill, Josh Goldsmith, Cathy Yuspa, George Heller and Brad Petrigala.

Discussing Film reported that the series' storyline will focus on a 13-year-old boy who starts his own hockey team after he is cut from the Mighty Ducks.

The original film follows self-centred lawyer Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) who becomes a coach for a kids' ice hockey team as part of his community service.

Just... just putting aside the fact that we're apparently ignoring how the original Ducks were built by uniting disadvantaged kids with behavioural issues, and how kicking someone off the side flies in the face of the side's entire ethos, and that turning the Ducks - THE MIGHTY DUCKS - into the bad guys of the series is bonkers. I have fond memories of an animated series. But Screen Geek will let you know when one is announced. The boy gets booted from the Mighty Ducks team and so his mum helps him put together a new team, coach, and practice rink. Leave your thoughts and comments below, or on our social medias.
