Brighton & Hove Albion - Premier League - 10 November 2019

Graham Potter takes his side to Manchester United on Sunday

Manchester United have chose to completely defend and keep establishing themselves in their side of the park in their matches, a narrative which could easily see this match end up as a torrid 0-0 show.

A convincing 3-0 win over Partizan has comforted fans a little but it's results in the league that is needed more than anything else at the moment.

The Red Devils hadn't started as electric as past games, with Brighton doing well to frustrate them early on. The referee pointed to the spot, and the Frenchman converted the resulting penalty.

It would not be enough, however, as United held on to secure the three points and continue their record-breaking winning streak.

"They're a hard team to play against". Both are now potential doubts for the weekend.

Victor Lindelof missed the Europa League tie due to injury, but he should be back today. Paul Pogba, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic, Eric Bailly, Angel Gomes, Diogo Dalot, and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are injured. He joined Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo on the treatment table, with the trio all out for Sunday's game. Graham Potter will also have to field an eleven without Adam Webster after he picked up an ankle injury and limped off the field last week.

In years past, fans would have fully known what to expect from a game like this.

Supporters have been losing patience given the team's inconsistencies this season that have seen them in 10th place before this weekend's Premier League round began. It sees us pick out a duo of defenders from the side with us beginning with captain Lewis Dunk, a CB who always carries a threat of pitching in with a goal as well. Surprisingly, they are just five points above the relegation zone. The Seagulls had 58% of possession against Norwich, and 56% the week prior versus Everton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have only managed to win one of their last six Premier League games - a 3-1 victory at promoted side Norwich City last month.

Meanwhile, United now prefer to play on the counter-attack, with their best games coming when they didn't have much of the ball.

"They are a team with a lot of strength. We saw this in the last game against Bournemouth, it was a very hard game for us", the 26-year-old added.
