South Carolina's Ryan Hilinski injured after Georgia player hits his knee

South Carolina Hosts Tennessee to Kick Off 2019-20 Season

Georgia lost 20-17 to SC in overtime, with Fromm producing a performance that will fuel further criticism of a quarterback who is widely regarded as being a level below Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert when it comes to the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Hilinski, who had taken several hard hits after throws on the afternoon, had thrown a short pass to senior receiver Bryan Edwards when outside linebacker Adam Anderson appeared to trip and fall into Hilinski's legs.

Hilinksi went down and pounded the ground in pain.

Hilinski was helped off the field and entered the medical tent for examination. Dakereon Joyner has since come on in replacement.

The pass, coming off play action, was Hilinski's fifth completion of the day, giving him 80 yards through one quarter.

SC had a chance to pull off a stunning upset and had a mobile quarterback under center.

Edwards was also shaken up on the play and walked off the field slowly.
