Real Madrid Learn Asking Price From Tottenham for Christian Eriksen

José Antonio SanzMARCA

Perez is interested in signing Christian Eriksen in January, with the Tottenham midfielder available for a cut-price fee given his contract is up next summer.

Los Blancos will start negotiating with Eriksen in 2020, as the Denmark global has told Tottenham that he won't re-sign with the club before his contract runs out next summer.

Tottenham have made a disappointing start to the Premier League season following a 3-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.

Injuries in midfield have hampered Madrid this season and it is believed that an offer of €30million for the Denmark global, could be enough to seal the deal in January.

The Denmark global has endured a slow start to the season, with Spurs already suffering a series of humiliating defeats domestically and in Europe. The Dane's contract runs out at the end of this season, leaving Spurs with the option to sell in January or lose him for free in the summer.

However, according to ESPN FC sources, Zidane still has his heart set on signing Pogba.

Madrid could still return for Pogba next summer if the Frenchman is still coach but Eriksen, the club's preference, could join him in the Spanish capital, if not arrive before him.

As MARCA understand, Real Madrid could offer 25 million euros for Eriksen during the January transfer window and we'll have to wait and see if that's enough to force Levy's strong hand.
