Rams RB Todd Gurley (thigh) doesn't practice; day-to-day

Rams do or die

Judging by the Los Angeles Rams injury report, it appears Todd Gurley is unlikely to play in Sunday's clash against the San Francisco 49ers. "A lot of these conversations entail (how Gurley is) feeling, what kind of progress does he make throughout the course of the week". Rookie running back Darrell Henderson is expected to have an expanded role for the Rams.

After suffering an injury at the tail end of last season, Gurley experienced some troubles during the playoffs and wasn't being used as often or as effectively. The Rams will defer to Gurley whether he's ready to go.

Though he has been healthy for all five games this season, Gurley has seen his workload cut dramatically thus far in 2019 relative to 2018.

Through five games, the argument can be made that Kupp has looked the strongest he's ever been, and watching him already haul in 41 catches for 505 yards with four touchdowns shows signs of being on pace for a career year.

Linebacker Clay Matthews (broken jaw), linebacker Natrez Patrick (hamstring) and cornerback Aqib Talib (ribs) also missed practice Wednesday.

Gurley suffered the injury in the Rams' 30-29 loss to the Seahawks in Week 5 after rushing for 51 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.
