Drake Makes Rare Statement About Relationship with His Dad

Dennis Graham, Drake's father, recently had an interview where he discussed his son and how he talked about their relationship just to sell records.

He seems to be reacting to his dad going on Nick Cannon's Power 106.1FM morning show on October 1 and claiming that Drake made up a strained relationship with his Memphis-living dad while he was growing up with his mom in Toronto.

Drake's message is in response to his father's claims that the rapper lied about his parenting skills to sell records. "I have always been with Drake", he told Cannon. I said, 'Drake, why are you saying all of this different stuff about me? "This is not cool.' He (said), 'Dad, it sells records.' OK, well, cool".

The 32-year-old rapper took to his Instagram page today to say that his father would say anything to anybody who's willing to listen. The percussionist was on the cover of Drake's 2017 album "More Life", and he appeared in his 2013 music video for the song "Worst Behavior". "It's sad when family gets like this, but what can we really do?" We really got into a deep conversation about that.

According to Graham, he "had a conversation with Drake" about the way his son portrays him in his music. When asked about the lyrics in a June episode of A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal, Graham also shut them down.

Drake responds to his father's comments on Instagram Stories.

Another person claimed that "All of Drake's photos with his dad (before the fame) are from when he was very young".
