Breaking Bad star Robert Foster passes away

Robert Forster

I'm saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away.

His publicist Kathie Berlin said he died on Friday of brain cancer at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by his family, reports The Guardian. He recently featured in an action crime drama film which hit screens in the United States on Friday (12th October).

Forster's film debut came opposite Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor in 1967's Reflections in a Golden Eye.

Robert Forster and ex-wife Evie arrives at the 84th Annual Academy Awards held at the Hollywood & Highland Center on February 26, 2012. Social media is flooded with messages for the veteran actor.

Forster completed three additional projects in 2019: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and Werewolf.

Forster was most recently seen in Netflix's Breaking Bad epilogue El Camino, reprising a small but pivotal role that he played in the show towards its end in 2013.

"I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood", Cranston wrote. "Everything you do in life is superfluous compared to that", he said in the Tribune interview.

Other works that he was famous for include Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks. "I was taking whatever fell through the cracks".

"Seriously. I got lucky every step of the way", he said. He said he loved trying out comedy as Tim Allen's father in Last Man Standing. He had appeared in the wildly popular Breaking Bad series.

According to Variety, Forster is survived by partner Denise Grayson and his four children and four grandchildren.
