NFL to meet with Antonio Brown accuser Monday

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady greets wide receiver Antonio Brown before the start of an NFL football game against the Miami Dolphins

While the nature of the allegations sparked speculation that Brown could be placed on paid leave pending the outcome of that investigation, Brown made his debut for the Patriots on Sunday, catching four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. The source said they were not told that Brown or any of his representatives would be at that meeting and are not expecting them to be.

Responding to the Sports Illustrated story, Darren Heitner, Brown's attorney, issued a firm denial on Twitter. "We will have no further comment while that investigation takes place".

He signed with the New England Patriots last week.

This is why the Pittsburgh Steelers put up with so much from Antonio Brown, why the Oakland Raiders were way too patient through Brown's drama and why the New England Patriots overlooked all of his baggage.

Brown's troubles were compounded this week when a second woman came forward to accuse the player of sexual misconduct.

When pressed, Belichick added, "I'm not going to hand out a copy of the game plan here".

Now as the Patriots prepare to host the New York Jets this week, Brown and the team must again wait and see if looming sexual assault and rape allegations against him will make him subject to discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy. She is not pursuing charges in this incident, though she says she was bothered by Brown's actions.

Then, on May 20, 2018, Brown allegedly raped Taylor, forcing her onto a bed and pushing her face into a mattress.

This report is coming after Brown was accused of sexual assault by his former trainer, Britney Taylor. No criminal charges have been filed and the National Football League hasn't fully developed its investigation, so Brown was able to play for the Patriots, who acquired him after he requested and got his release from Oakland. Brown quit on the Steelers before the biggest game of the season after having his feelings hurt and eventually staged a social media show which got him traded to the Oakland Raiders.

He has stated his innocence through a statement from his lawyer and will seek all legal recourse against the alleged victim in the federal lawsuit.

The 31-year-old Brown was released by Oakland on September 7 after clashing with the team throughout training camp.

Regarding other incidents involving Brown, SI interviewed more than two dozen people who he knew through being employed by him, or as coach and player.
