Brinkley-Cook has already hit the ground running with only hours to learn her mother's entire dance routine.

In their own statement, ABC and BBC Studios said that they wish Brinkley a full and speedy recovery, and they look forward to seeing her in the audience whenever possible to support Sailor.

The 21-year-old model actually found out about her mom, Christie Brinkley's, injury a few moments before her flight took off! "She is unable to continue her planned participation on the show", the post said.

Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Christie Brinkley is hanging up her dancing shoes before this season of Dancing with the Stars even begins. She's a Sports Illustrated model, but that's not as big as being a Kendall Jenner.

Wendy Williams isn't buying Christie Brinkley's injury story!

While Sailor (who her mom says has "bad stage fright") was hesitant about the opportunity and hasn't had much time to rehearse, Brinkley said she has no doubt she's the right woman for the job. So my thought is that she said, 'Look, Sailor, here's what we we're going to do.

Of course, she's doing the show with one person in mind.

Good Morning America tweeted out footage of Christie's fall. "Here's my thought: Dancing With the Stars called Christie Brinkley ... and she said yes". Everyday you make me the happiest chicken in the world. She revealed that she had to convince Sailor to replace her because of "stage fright". "She Fine." Sailor replied, "It kinda runs in the family!"

Brinkley-Cook will be joined in the 28th season of the reality competition series by Sean Spicer, The Office's Kate Flannery, James Van Der Beek, ex-Supreme Mary Wilson, NBA champ Lamar Odom and The Bachelorette's Hannah Brown.
