Google just confirmed its subscription app service ‘Play Pass’

Google has teased its Play Pass is on the way soon and if you're not sure what that is, let us tell you a yarn.

We've previously reported on Google's impending premium subscription app service Google Play Pass.

Without giving any further details around the rollout, the Google Play account on Twitter confirmed the debut of Google Play Pass. It's unclear if games included in the service will be completely free of the dreaded in-app purchases, as "entertainment apps" are excluded from the promise of no ads or in-app purchases.

"It's nearly time", the company tweeted on Tuesday.

Hints about the Google Play Pass service was originally spotted a year ago by folks over at XDA while analyzing the APK of the Play Store app. "Google Play Pass is coming soon".

Google Play Pass, the app and game subscription service from Google, could launch at any moment. However, in early last month, an anonymous user sent some screenshots to Android Police that gave us a sneak peek at the development. The following are some of the Play Pass screenshots XDA says it received from its source back in July. It would at launch enable access to premium apps such as Stardew Valley, Marvel Pinball, and Limbo among others.

All of the games included in Play Pass will not include any microtransactions, and the company may also offer a free 10-day trial to new users.
