Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer hints at game's quirkiest moment

Final Fantasy 7 remake

Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019, Square Enix has shown off a stunning new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake, showcasing all sorts of new footage from mostly the Wall Market section of the game.

The brand new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer also shows Don Corneo and gives a glimpse of what players will need to do to prep for the Honey Bee Inn. Over the course of a dense two-and-a-half minutes, the trailer shows scenes from outside the start of the game, which is something we hadn't seen before today.

Importantly there are also glimpses at moments that appear to be brand new for the Remake.

Around 2015, however, Final Fantasy producer Shinji Hashimoto and cohorts realized that if they didn't develop the remake soon, Father Time would eventually get the better of them. There's also another sighting of those ghost-like things we first saw at E3 2019. It clearly says "New Trailer" atop the timer, so we can presumably expect one of those to go live once the timer hits zero.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is due out for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.

Previously Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura said the new trailer would be dropping on September 12. Read our Final Fantasy 7 Remake hands-on preview from E3 2019, or check out our preview in the video below.

This demo was also at Gamescom 2019, and fans may be hoping that at TGS 2019 a wider release for the demo is announced.
