DJI just announced its latest smartphone gimbal - the Osmo Mobile 3. We already know that the current Osmo Mobile 2 does a great job with stabilizing footage, so we expect the third-generation gimbal to be at least as good, or possibly better. Transform into a professional content creator with the help of DJI Mimo's Story mode.
Key features include new locking mechanisms incorporated into the design, along with a 15-hour battery, although the highlight is a Quick Roll feature that allows the bracket to spin between portrait and landscape orientations with a double tap of the Mode button - much like on the Benro 3XS Lite that was announced earlier this month. "The redesigned form no longer obstructs the charging and audio ports, allowing for easy connection to charge the device or use external mics", DJI wrote.
As with previous models, the Osmo Mobile 3 is a smartphone accessory created to help you record smoother, more professional-looking video, while also making it easier to capture specialised shots like timelapses and panoramas.
TimeLapse & MotionLapse: If you're looking to turn minutes into seconds, Timelapse is ideal for capturing unique content with the effect of the world moving faster around you, while Motionlapse adds the dynamic element of movement to your Timelapse by setting points for the camera to move to. Do you now need a gimbal for your phone? Additionally, HyperLapse not only supports real-time Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) but also ActiveTrack 3.0.
In a nod to the original Osmo Mobile, DJI brought back the trigger on the back of the gimbal's grip, which puts even more controls at your fingertips.
Panorama: Get a wider perspective with panorama mode. The price starts at €109 for the standard version which includes Osmo Mobile 3, a wrist strap, storage pouch, and anti-slip pads.
For $139 United States dollars you can get the Osmo Mobile 3 combo which includes all the components of the standard version along with the Osmo Grip Tripod and the Osmo Carrying Case. Let us know in the comments underneath the article.
