That Jack Black/Jack White collaboration is officially happening!

Jack White and Jack Black Make Gray in New Mini-Documentary

And now there's proof that they have - and it's going to be called "Jack Gray". The D with Jack White.

The 18-minute video shows a lot of commotion and very little collaboration: Black and Glass are given a tour around Third Man's live recording space, shoot the shit with White, and perform a ditty or two for the camera, including a botched a cappella version of "Seven Nation Army".

In the hugely entertaining 17-minute video, Black and Kyle Gass get up to a whole lot of things, including visiting White's fabled Third Man Records stronghold in Nashville, Tennessee, where they record music with him.

The news of the single was first revealed during Tenacious D's Nashville gig last week, where Black told the crowd: "Jack White - we went over to his house today and recorded a brand new song". And me and KG have been working on a jam, but it's not quite done. "Needs a bit of work, but I think that's where Jack White's gonna come in and help us pull it over the finish line".

Black couldn't film the visit, but he let fans know that the collab was was a "legendary".

The band posted a photograph of the trio, with White holding up a Tenacious D t-shit. "Everyone's been waiting for it", Black claims and he's not wrong. During the vehicle ride, Tenacious D not only belt out Michael Jackson's "Black Or White" but also White's arguably biggest hit with The White Stripes: "Seven Nation Army". "I'm still floating on cloud nine".

Tenacious D have unveiled a new documentary that delves into the most crucial meeting of musical minds in recent memory.
