Marsha Edwards Accused Of Killing Children And Herself | Crime Time

Atlanta mother Marsha Edwards is suspected of murdering her adult daughter Erin Edwards and son days after sharing Instagram holiday

Authorities have said 58-year-old Marsha Edwards shot her two children inside her home before taking her own life. Her daughter Erin was a 2017 graduate of Woodward Academy and according to her social media pages, a student at Boston University.

The case has left the metro Atlanta community reeling since the doctor was a well-known surgeon who was formerly married to Dr. Christopher Edwards, a prominent surgeon and chairman of the Atlanta Housing Authority. "You've moved me, inspired me, and challenged me in ways I could have never expected, and I'm a better journalist and person for it".

In an eerie post just hours before the killings took place, Marsha took to Instagram to praise her grown children.

"Her enthusiasm was infectious and her smile lit up a room", Berkowitz said according to NBC News. Her talent was truly God-given.

"Dr. Christopher Edwards learned Wednesday of the death of his former wife, Dr. Marsha Edwards, and his two adult children, Christopher Edwards, Jr. and Erin Edwards".

"She told stories through times of pain and happiness, never leaving her passion for journalism too far behind", Edwards's fellow Posse scholars said in a statement, shared by BU.

Marsha's son Chris - a graduate of Woodward Academy and Elon University - was the digital content manager for the Atlanta Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment.

"Dr. Edwards, his extended family and friends are in a state of grief and shock, and privacy of the family is paramount as arrangements are being made".

Marsha Edwards, her son and her daughter were members of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Mayor Keisha Lance expressed her condolences for the Edwards.

Bottoms released a statement calling the 20-year-old and her brother "beautiful, vibrant, and brilliant young adults". They filled the lives of all who met them with joy, compassion and kindness.

"NABJ extends its condolences, prayers and thoughts to the family, friends and colleagues of Marsha Edwards, Christopher Edwards II and Erin Edwards", the organization said in a statement.

Services for Edwards are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28, 11 a.m.at Cascade United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
