Former Ravens WR Michael Crabtree signs 1-year deal with Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are nearing a deal with free-agent veteran wide receiver Michael Crabtree, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Crabtree had a work out with the Cardinals more than two weeks ago. The terms of Wednesday's agreement were not immediately reported.

His best season came in his rookie year, where he finished with 19 receptions for 187 yards.

The 31-year-old Crabtree is entering his 11th season and has played for San Francisco, Oakland and Baltimore after being selected 10th overall in the 2009 National Football League draft out of Texas Tech.

White, 27, had recovered from a hamstring injury that forced him to miss about a week of training camp before he was cut.

In his three-year career, Treadwell has 56 catches for 517 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals are expected to keep at least six receivers, and head coach Kliff Kingsbury's Air Raid scheme is expected to feature four or five wideouts often, unlike most National Football League offences. He played in Mike Leach's Air Raid system at Texas Tech a few years after Kliff Kingsbury's was the quarterback at the school.

The 10th overall choice in 2009, Crabtree played six seasons with the 49ers before going across the Bay to Oakland for three seasons.

In 141 career games (138 starts), he has 633 catches for 7,477 yards and 54 touchdowns.
