Meghan Markle's supporters are once again coming to her defense in the wake of fresh criticism over her efforts to protect her privacy.
The Duchess has kept Archie out of the spotlight since his birth in April, but on Saturday two new photos of the little boy were released from his christening. The decision was criticized by the British press, though Meghan's fans backed the move, citing her treatment by the media, as well as the fierce scrutiny over the late Princess Diana.
"She wanted to come incognito but there were problems".
'I seriously dislike this girl but you can't put her down because she's not a pro at holding a baby, ' the person wrote. "Would you not take photographs of the Duchess", a voice ordered politely. We all remember those endless photos of Di riding the tube home from her job as a barista because she insisted on paying her own way.
"I was gobsmacked and thought, 'gosh have I upset people?' I promise you they're happy".
The event marked the first time the cousins have been seen together publicly.
"So I would hope they would get somebody in who will say [to Harry and Meghan] "let's just ease off on the Hollywood glamour, bit more royalty".
The former Suits actress sparked a huge row after her bodyguards told fans not to take pictures of her during the match.
However, the controversy appeared to be far from the Duchess' mind on Wednesday.
Thomas Markle spoke to the Mail on Sunday following Archie's christening, which was attended by Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, saying he would have liked to have been there but wishes his daughter, son-in-law and baby grandson "health and happiness".
They were accompanied by their wives Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Harry's son, Archie, and William's youngest child, Louis.
