Operation Apocalypse Z arrives in Black Ops 4 today

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Operation Apocalypse Z Detailed Releases Tomorrow

All game modes within Black Ops 4 will be overrun with zombies in the coming weeks.

The new mode will see Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players take on the role of the Reaper, a new sickle-armed specialist who will have to do massacres of zombies on Blackout mode maps.

The new Operation Apocalypse Z for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available tomorrow on July 9 on PlayStation 4 with Xbox One and PC to follow later on July 16.

According to the official roadmap, Operation Apocalypse Z Rising will feature the new specialist, Reaper, going live during its first week.

Blackout will also be seeing some new tweaks to its original map, and the Haunting Fog will be appearing.

Black Ops Pass owners now have three additional Multiplayer maps to battle across, including two new Zombies-themed battlegrounds, and a reimagined Black Ops classic: Journey to the Austrian Alps and drop into "Der Schatten" ("The Shadow"), a village sitting in the shadow of Griffin Castle (from "Der Eisendrache"), where a giant robot has spilled out element 115 with interesting results. This update will also add an eerie change for the game's Blackout map along with new weapons for players to unlock and level up. Additionally, the Alcatraz map debuts a night-time atmospheric change complete with new Zombie enemies.

Beyond the above, little else is known about the upcoming Operation Apocalypse Z update.

In Multiplayer, there's a new Specialist by the name of Reaper. The Battle Royale mode saw great attention and adoration at launch, but rapidly lost the limelight due to stagnation.

"Reaper's Special Issue Equipment, the Radar Shroud, is a deployable jamming device that conceals an area on enemy mini-maps. As the Aether story heads toward an epic conclusion, "Alpha Omega" works to unravel the mysteries of the beginning and the end".

Black Ops originals include Der Schatten, Remnant, and Havana. It's boasting a map said to be '400%' larger than the fan favourite Nuketown Zombies one, and plenty of new enemies to tackle. This will allows players to experience the game in new ways and adjust their playstyle.

Alcatraz Portals Horde - An Alcatraz game mode with more Zombies enemy types that spawn throughout the map.
