Justin Sun Invites Binance’s Helen Hai To Have Lunch With Warren Buffett

Tron prices slashes by 11.44% in under 4 hours after Justin Sun's 'kidney stones'

Sun had been scheduled to dine with Buffett on July 25 at the Michelin-starred Quince restaurant in San Francisco after he won an auction to benefit Glide, a charity in the city. The TRON founder claims that he has kidney stones and can not attend.

It all started when the Tron Foundation abruptly scrubbed Justin Sun's $4.57 million Thursday lunch-date with Warren Buffett, with Sun stating that he had kidney stones and would reschedule the meeting for a future date.

"How can Justin have lunch with Buffett when he isn't even allowed to leave China!"

Sun paid $4.6 million Dollars in a charity auction for the right to dine with Buffet July 25th.

What catches the eye though is the fact that Justin Sun was still inviting guests to the power lunch with Warren Buffet a few hours before the postponement update.

Sun was reportedly unwell due to kidney stones, and as a result, both parties had reached an agreement over the rescheduling of the event.

The specific subjects to be discussed during the steak meal were not disclosed; however, Buffett has famously called bitcoin "rat poison squared", and made a number of other unflattering remarks about cryptocurrencies.

Sun reportedly addressed these issues in a Weibo post, as per Cointelegraph.

Tron launched its TRX token in 2017, raising about $70 million in an initial coin offering, and acquired San Francisco-based BitTorrent for $120 million a year ago. Sun responded in a Weibo post saying that the company is cooperating with regulators.

Sun further emphasized that the Tron Foundation does not tolerate unlawful use of the protocol.

The announcement kicked off a frenzy of speculation on Twitter and in Chinese social media, which claimed that Sun has been denied an exit visa from China, and that the 29-year-old is the subject of investigations for everything from illegal fundraising to money laundering.

In a Tweet, Sun earlier stated that a medical urgency is the reason to postpone the conference.
