A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said: "There were a number of people in the area at the time and 14 people are presently being treated for injuries, some of which are serious".
"Unfortunately this incident means we are all going to be tarred with the same brush - people will say we are boy racers".
Police asked witnesses with footage of the crash to send it to detectives.
Mr Sidhu told PA a small number of cars "went rogue" and left the auto park, where crowds lined the main road to capture footage of the vehicles at speed.

We don't know when there coming, where there coming or what numbers they're going to be in and that makes it a very hard event to police and make sure people are kept safe.
