Galaxy Note 10 Wireless Charger May Support 20W Speeds

Samsung is now being sued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Australia's consumer guardian, over allegedly false claims made by the South Korean company that its phones are completely water-resistant.

As such, the company often advertises that its GALAXY smartphones can survive in several wet areas such as swimming pools and ocean waters and they've been boasting about it since 2016. However, in reality, the Galaxy handsets can not withstand all kinds of water, as Samsung's itself cautions Galaxy S10 owners against using their phones in a beach or a pool on its website.

On the other hand, Samsung completely supported their advertisements. The watchdog also claims that the South Korean giant didn't carry out sufficient testing to actually find out how the usable life of Galaxy phones will be impacted by their contact with water.

Quandt stated that while the FCC specifications reveal a wireless charger topping out at 15W, the accessory he is specifically talking about will take the power draw rating higher. It also touts the quality of the camera, gaming performance and water resistance.

The ACCC claims that Samsung has rebuffed warranty claims by clients who say their phones have been broken by water exposure. The "plus" suffix makes much sense because the Galaxy S-Series of phones are sold as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, and Samsung would want to introduce a level of symmetry when it comes to naming the devices.

As a result of the case, Samsung might be slapped with a multi-million dollar fine and of course, it will probably have to pull the misleading ads.

According to the leaked information, Samsung is readying two versions of the Galaxy Watch 2.
