"Don't Even Think About Retirement", Lata Mangeshkar Urges MS Dhoni

Manchester weather today update,India vs New Zealand,semi-finals

Insisting India weren't fazed by having to return to Old Trafford to finish the match on the reserve day, Kohli added: "It was fine having to come back today".

Kohli was one of the India stars to flop as he was dismissed for one alongside Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, who also only managed a single each. It can be hard to trust your own judgement on a pitch which was so different to expectations and most other pitches that we have seen during the tournament, but Williamson and Taylor refused to be pressured by a scoring run rate of less than four an over for much of their partnership.

"No, he hasn't told us anything about his future", Kohli said when quizzed, India Today reported.

"New Zealand deserves a lot of credit because they really put up a great display of how to bowl with the new ball".

"If there is a low total, we knew there's probably only one or two sides in world cricket that will put seven fielders in the ring and that was always going to be New Zealand", he said, suggesting that their best chance of victory in Sunday's final would be if the game was low scoring. "We needed to stay in the game for long periods".

"I don't think we, any of us had to say anything to Jadeja after what happened over the last one week".

The punters did not even consider the possibility of New Zealand winning the match as indicated by the rates.

"And so was Dhoni who kept India in the hunt".

Jadeja and MS Dhoni put on 116 runs for the seventh wicket to fix the damage, but their wickets spelt the end for the pre-tournament favourites.

"Indian fans should be proud of the way their team played in the World Cup", he added. They qualified fourth on net run-rate while India topped the 10-team group table, making them heavy underdogs against one of the pre-tournament favourites.
