Zenfone 6 Launching in India on June 19 as ASUS 6Z

Asus ZenFone 6 to Launch in India as Asus 6z on June 19, Company Confirms

The change in nomenclature from ZenFone 6 to Asus 6Z comes in the wake of a Delhi High Court ruling restraining the use of 'Zen' or 'ZenFone' in Asus's products over a trademark issue.

So you can expect a 48MP main +13MP ultra-wide camera with a flip mechanism, a bezel-free display, big 5000mAh battery, Snapdragon 855 chipset and Android Pie layered with ZenUI 6. In India, the Smartphone is relied upon to be launched around Rs 45,000.

ASUS argued that its ZenFone brand was inspired by founder Jonney Shih's belief in the Zen philosophy and that the ZenFone name is known to be associated with ASUS, but at the end of the case, the Delhi court ruled in favor of Telecare Network. The Asus 6z launch is scheduled to take place on 19th June.

Asus has sent out media invites for the launch of the Asus 6z in India on June 19. The ASUS 6Z India launch date has been revealed. "The supply of ASUS smartphones, notebooks and other products, as well as technical support and after-sales service for all ASUS products remain unchanged for all consumers".

The ASUS legal team is now working with the Delhi High Court in India to resolve the Zen Mobiles and ZenFone trademark lawsuit.

Asus Zenfone 6 is equipped with dual 5-magnet stereo speaker, Dual NxP smartamps, dual mic and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In Europe, the ZenFone 6 starts at Euro 499 (INR 39,300 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. Let's check out full specs of the new 6Z. The display is also protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The ASUS 6z features a unique motorised flip camera module that houses a 48MP main sensor (Sony IMX586) and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

While the regular ZenFone 6 flagship device is available in 6GB and 64/128GB, and 8GB and 256GB variants, ZenFone 6 Edition 30 will embrace 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This phone is packed with 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging.
