Madden NFL 20 release date and pre-order

Madden NFL 20: Closed beta announced, gameplay revealed

Madden NFL 20's new campaign mode will see you become the face of a franchise, as you work your way through the college ranks and into the draft.

There will be new Scenario Challenges and that will allow players to improve their new QB's ratings and abilities.

A new scramble mechanic will let players pull down the passing options and instantly change their quarterback into a runner without needing to have forward momentum like in past games. I get the idea of wanting elite stars to truly stand out among the rest of the players, but no matter how gifted a player is, no one is flawless.

X-Factor abilities aim to make the players feel like superstars.

Originally revealed earlier this year, Face of the Franchise mode, with community manager Israel Cruz detailing the primary features. New plays will be added to Madden during the season based on real plays. Giving star running backs extra routes out of the backfield and will give them a raised percentage for gaining a few extra yards or catching the ball in heavy coverage.

For Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, for example, completing four passes of thirty yards or more will unlock his exclusive "Bazooka" ability, which will increase his max passing distance by fifteen yards.

Superstars will have signature animations, starting with a limited pool of players, but the Madden team will be adding more later.

Madden NFL 20 was only one of the games featured at EA PLAY 2019. EA PLAY attendees will have a chance to get codes for the beta, and from June 10-14, codes will be given out on Madden's social channels, via Madden developers, MUTHEAD and Reddit (Madden Ultimate Team) and more.
