Lucas Torreira fuels AC Milan transfer links

Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira Admits He “Misses Italy” Amid AC Milan Links

AC Milan want to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, but the deal is claimed to be considered tough to pull off.

Having arrived from Sampdoria for £26.4m last summer, the Uruguayan had an impressive debut campaign for the Gunners and quickly emerged as a fan favourite in north London.

Despite that, rumours have begun to circulate that Milan are keen on the Uruguay worldwide as they begin to rebuild following the departure of manager Gennaro Gattuso.

Despite the speculation, the 23-year-old hinted that he hopes to get used to his new surroundings in the years to come.

Asked about life in England, he told Uruguayan outlet Ovacion: "I don't know if there are many things that I enjoy". "London is a completely different world".

"The language (barrier) has stopped me, to be able to relate with my teammates and with the people". His body and mentality will be much stronger next season, the first year was always going to be hard for him but watch him go from August onwards, he will be a better more experienced player I assure you.

While the 23-year-old's apparent struggles with English life are clear, the midfielder did go on the admit that he was willing to continue fighting and learning to adjust to the country and language.

He did, though, admit that he believes he could get used to the climate, suggesting he is not thinking about an Arsenal exit quite yet.

He also made one assist in 12 Europa League games to help them reach the final, where they lost 4-1 to Chelsea FC. You arrive late to your home and it's cloudy.

"It is odd a little bit, the sun, the more of us that we are here and we are accustomed to having always or nearly always the sun". I think I was doing better in Italy. "All in all, for me the balance was positive and I am satisfied, satisfied with what I did this season". "Over the years I will adapt".
