"If I thought anybody was incorrect or it was badly stated I'd report it to the attorney general, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I'd report it to law enforcement absolutely", Trump told Fox News.
The video also includes a clip of ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos asking the president if he would accept damaging information from foreign powers.
"I think you might want to listen. there's nothing wrong with listening", Trump said when asked by ABC News what he would do if a country such as Russian Federation or China offered him information.
His comments to ABC had outraged Democrats, who said it evoked Russia's 2016 election interference.
"I'd take it" Trump said this week when asked by ABC's George Stephanopoulos if Russian Federation again offered campaign help.
"I think you might want to listen - there's nothing wrong with listening", he said in a recent interview.
Previously, McGahn stated under oath the president continuously told him to have special counsel Robert Mueller removed due to perceived conflicts of interest and asked to create documents backing up that claim.
"The story on that very simply, No. 1, I was never going to fire Mueller", Trump said. "If I thought there was something wrong, I'd go maybe to the Federal Bureau of Investigation". "I never suggested firing Mueller".
Stephanopoulos cited White House Counsel Don McGahn's testimony recalling that Trump called him and said Mueller "had to go" because he was conflicted.
Asked why McGahn would have lied, Trump said, "Because he wanted to make himself look like a good lawyer". Pressed again, Trump denied ever having told McGahn to fire Mueller.
Though Trump tried to cast doubt on McGahn's credibility, it is clear from the Mueller report that investigators took seriously his statements, which in many instances were accompanied by contemporaneous notes, and relied on his account to paint a portrait of the president's conduct.
