Basically, Devolver Digital poked fun at the industry for 25 minutes while slickly using the Nintendo Direct formula of stark white backgrounds and quick gameplay trailers.
Unfortunately, no release date was given as yet other than you should expect to see it hit PC and consoles next year but, you can add Carrion to your wishlist over on the title's Steam Page. The 2D platformer features a malevolent entity who stalks a facility scaring all of the NPCs. It will launch in 2020. Play all of your favorite games like Enter The Gun Dungeon, Hotline Milwaukee, Ape Out Jr., Shootyboots, Super Absolver Mini: Turbo Fighting Championship, Catsylvania, PikuBiku Ball Stars, and Luftrousers.
Far from being just twenty minutes of comedy and insanity, though there was plenty of that, Devolver's presentation included plenty of game announcements, with a few surprises included.
"'Carrion' is a reverse-horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin", Devolver says in the YouTube description for the trailer.
The first trailer being shown off from Media Tonic is a game called Fall Guys. The idea being that instead of fighting a ugly monster, you are the disgusting monster.
Essentially a two-player light gun arcade, players fight the army of the Gundead while unlocking weapons alongside a friends. The arcade cabinet features lovely art on the side panels and two guns, one for you and a fellow Gungeoneer. The game will be releasing June 20th on Nintendo Switch and PC, and is available to pre-order now with a 15% discount on both platforms.
